What began as a vision to create space for women’s stories has grown, over five years, into a powerful and far-reaching collection of voices. This year marks our fifth year at MENA Speakers publishing a co-authored book centered mainly on women’s stories, and it remains one of the projects I am proudest to be part of.
Our latest collection, titled She Rises, spans five countries and brings together seventeen remarkable authors. Each chapter reflects resilience, courage, growth, and the defining moments that shape who we become, written by women who chose to put their most honest experiences into print rather than keep them private.
She Rises is, at its core, a collection of real stories about reinvention, perseverance, and the courage to keep moving forward when life takes an unexpected turn. These are not polished, distant success stories. They are honest accounts of the messy middle that most public narratives skip over entirely, the same messy middle I have written about elsewhere in my own entrepreneurship journey and leadership work.
The MENA Speakers team and I are incredibly proud of the women who shared their journeys with such honesty and vulnerability across this project. Putting a personal story into a published book, knowing it will be read by strangers across five countries, takes a particular kind of courage that deserves recognition on its own.
